Singers, Songwriters, Storytellers VI
Barnhart, Evans and Carlos – This Song’s for You

Saturday, March 23, 2024, 7:00 pm
Riverside Playhouse
General Admission Only - $18

On Saturday, March 23, Riverside Playhouse turns into Wenatchee City Limits for the sixth Singers, Songwriters, Storytellers show in this series of productions. Staged in an intimate black box setting, these artists will each take the stage to tell their stories, sing their songs and create a true connection with each member of the audience. You will laugh. You will cry. You will leave knowing you experienced a very special event.

Owen Barnhart has become, in less than three years, one NCW's premiere performers and his brand is "Premium Country. Delivered." He began joyfully making musical sounds at age 9 by tapping on the lid of a 30-gallon Rubbermaid trash can. In 2002, Owen became part of the Los Angeles scene, learned multiple instruments, and began writing and recording. He still carries the early musical influences by his father, as well as the love of “good” country music. Described as "one of the most distinctive voices in the region and his guitar/banjo picking shows a true mastery of his craft," we know that Owen will deliver a truly wonderful performance.  You can check out Owen's music at www.owenbarnhart.com, where you will find links to all his social media.

Wayne Evans is returning to the SSS stage after opening the first show in November 2022 to rave reviews. Wayne has honed his songwriting skills in the honkey-tonks and clubs of Texas, the neon lights and glitz of stages in Nevada, and music venues throughout the Northwest. He is a master of the guitar, and has been a continuing mentor to musicians and songwriters throughout his career, mostly known for his work in the bands JunkBelly and Older & Wiser, and his Austin band, The Boogie Monsters. He has shared the stage with amazing and legendary performers The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Charlie Muslewhite, B.B. King, Grace Potter, Dick Dale, Johnny Winter, and many more. Wayne will share music that he rarely performs live, enriched by his personal stories and perspectives that drive his passion for a songwriting and performance. Be prepared for an emotional listening experience!

Michael Carlos has created a growing and energized fan base in the Pacific Northwest, as well as critical acclaim. Michael grew up in California's San Joaquin Valley as the adopted child of Non-Hispanic parents. His life within the San Joaquin Valley’s cultural divide and the search for his own identity have shaped his songwriting and music. Michael's performances are an eclectic mix of musical styles and a blending of cultures and language, lauded as a “wide range of musical territory” by critics. He draws rock, alt-country, Latin, pop, and blues, and see his artistry as one way of bridging the cultural divide and connecting with his audiences. Once you have had the listening pleasure of a Michael Carlos performance, we know you'll become part of his fan base! Learn more about Michael at www.michael-carlos.com and follow him on social media.

As every audience has repeatedly described their experience, “This is the way music should be performed and heard.”  We know you will agree.
