BOSAYA—a multifaceted singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, excels in every aspect of her craft—because she’s been honing it since she was a little girl growing up in a small town. By age 12, she had saved to purchase her first cassette and began from there immersing herself in the sounds of iconic artists like Seal, Sting, and Whitney Houston, often recording the audio from music videos shown on MTV.
Attending local band concerts as a teenager gifted her exposure to a wide range of genres, including rock, electropop, and classical music, and gave her the performance bug. At 18, she dedicated herself fully to her music, later graduating with honors as a pop-jazz singer and a degree in choral conducting.
After graduating, BOSAYA began her “cosmic education” and musical experimentation in earnest, crafting a sound over time that is as captivating as it is enigmatic, reflecting her soul in a skillful blend of styles that resists simple categorization.
The name BOSAYA, derived from her grandfather’s surname, literally means barefoot and symbolizes the existential freedom and lithe artistry that she strives for in her music, her performances, and her life.
Since forming her band with music producer and guitar player Vadim Zariuta, BOSAYA has reached remarkable milestones, like collaborating with Nadirah X, Grammy-winning songwriter, to write her latest songs.
